Aroma Medallion from Crimea [Daily Photo #431]

Here's a cute souvenir my father and his wife brought for me from Crimea some years ago. It's a clay aroma medallion. You put a few drops of essential oil you like in it and wear it, so it's like perfume. I don't use it that way, it's more like a cute toy for me, but I do like oils, just in aroma lamps instead. ^u^

These are Ukrainian essential oils:
petitgrain (name's in Ukrainian there) and geranium (in Russian).

My old book friends

Whenever I have guests from Moscow I ask them, if possible, to bring some of my old books. Last time I counted my books – which was a year or two before I moved to Finland – I had ~260 books. I bought a few more after that, just a couple... Right now I managed to move about 100 of my old books, so we're far from done yet. ^^;

Here is what my father brought this time:

A taste of Ukraine

This is a post for my friend Admiral July, an angry Ukrainian feminist who really loves puppies. ^-^ She ordered me to take a photo of a Finnish dog in the snow, which I failed to do so far (mostly because I'm an asocial creature who likes to stay home when it's too slippery outside). But! I did find something Ukrainian in Helsinki, in a grocery shop...
