Science Fiction & Fantasy Short Stories Online

Sometimes I like to read short stories. I don't do it often, because I prefer longer immersion into an untrodden book world, but short fiction is a great way to quickly read something and discover new authors (or even genres!).   Итак, деревянное. Не перевелись ещё мастера на просторах Руси! Сергей Бобков делает потрясающие фигуры из деревянных стружек. На одно творение уходит до полугода. А какая красота получается!

  Something wooden – Russian master Sergei Bobkov makes amazing sculptures from wooden chips. It takes up to six months to make one. And such beauty his creations are!

  Северное — фотография от National Geographic, на которой запечатлены потрясающие северные облака. Я даже и не знала, что они такими бывают, скорее напоминает Юпитер, чем Землю. Снято в Гренландии.

  Northern — a photograph from National Geographic: stunning clouds that look more like Jupiter than Earth. I didn't know such clouds existed! Taken in Greenland.
