So of course I gotta draw fanarts! =D

And although the book is about an enby teen returning to their ancestral island home only to get snarled up in an ancient magical plot involving a pansexual psychopomp, the one to get the first fanart is neither Ash nor Rowan. It's Auryn! =D

Hello hello. 'Tis I, the fanart procrastinator! How are you? After months of…um... procrastinating... quite intensely, I've finally managed to not only post my Paradise Kiss fanart (that I drew last year...) here recently, but also finish and, as you can see, actually post (gasp! right away?!) the cutest fanart project I've ever done! Meet 40 chihuahuas and 1 husky who travel IN SPACE.

An embarrassingly long time ago you asked if I was going to post any drawings of metalheads. I didn't have any, so I decided to draw one for you and I did! I even scanned it! And then I forgot to post the drawing. >o<;;;;;

But better later than never, right? Allow me to introduce, a nonbinary demon hunter who is very, very metal.

I wasn't planning to draw anything today but this goth girl Tyri kept appearing in my mind's eye with her violin and corsets, and I am very weak and well, goth girls in corsets, you know?? So I sit down to draw her, totally intending to make a simple black-and-white drawing like these ones, but nooo, a voice in my head says “make it colourful, make it red, it will match the cover” and sometimes you gotta listen to those voices when art is concerned, right? So next thing I know, I'm armed with pencils and actually colouring!

Faber-Castell Manga Pens [Daily Photo #492]

Some time ago I bought another box of the Faber-Castell manga pens because some of my old ones were running out of ink. These pens are really great if you like drawing thin, sharp lines, like me. ^^ The ink dries fast and doesn't smudge, which is a nice bonus!

I find it very hard to focus on podcasts without doing something else at the same time, so when I was listening to Kameron Hurley's very cool podcast the other day I felt the need to do something nonverbal. I chose drawing. First I drew three random women who look like they could be from a Hurley novel (I think the podcast filled me with badassery – it's a Kameron Hurley thing, go read her books).

And then I drew Das Muni from her organically-grown space opera The Stars Are Legion. Das Muni is my favourite character in that book! Melted my heart right away. I need more Das Muni in my life! *sobs*
