New restaurant Luckiefun's has opened near Sello (Leppävaarankatu 12), and today we checked its lunch-time menu out! Very nice selection of sushi and other East Asian foods like miso and curry tofu. Vegan meals are clearly marked. They have many restaurants in Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, Turku and Tampere, check the list here.
That seaweed salad was sooooo delicious!

It's that time of the year when I read only LGBTQIA books, so I'm going to show you some of what I've prepared for this June's reading. Happy Pride! \^u^/
My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness by Nagata Kabi, translated by Jocelyne Allen
“The heart-rending autobiographical manga that’s taken the internet by storm!
My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is an honest and heartfelt look at one young woman’s exploration of her sexuality, mental well-being, and growing up in our modern age. Told using expressive artwork that invokes both laughter and tears, this moving and highly entertaining single volume depicts not only the artist’s burgeoning sexuality, but many other personal aspects of her life that will resonate with readers.”

Today during our walk we heard and saw baby birds! First, we came across a birdhouse occupied by great tits. The parents were flying in and out, and their babies were making cutest little noises! Then we saw a mother duck with tiny-tiny ducklings swimming! One of the ducklings tried to chase after a bug but wasn't successful. ^^;;

It's that time of the year when an ancient call once again comes from the ocean depths, and artists are compelled to draw mermaids, mermaids, and also mermaids. So here is my little contribution to MerMay – metalhead mermaids and their song recommendations featuring bands from Greece, Austria, Italy, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, and Poland! ^u^

Hmmm, what could be the subject of my daily photo today? Flowers? Food? Books? Ohhh wait a minute. I just finished volume 11 of Nana by Ai Yazawa today, and which number is the Nana number? 7! “Nana” means 7 in Japanese, and you see this number often in that manga series. The heroines live on the 7th floor in apartment 707, the author was born on March 7th, 1967, and in the volume I read today the number 777 was mentioned. And today's daily photo happens to be #777! Q.E.D. I HAD to make it Nana-themed. =D
So, here are some simple Nana pics.
